Ok so my daughter has not long gone down for a nap shes a year and a half but my leccy just ran out! The shop is about 3 minutes away shes safely in her crib with nothing around it that she can grab would it be ok to go top up the leccy real quick? She usually naps for about 2 hours and I cant wait that long and don't want to wake her.

Sorry, I wouldn't even consider it. Terrible idea.

Ilovelala · 20/11/2019 15:50

Nope bad idea.

TheQueef · 20/11/2019 15:51

Don't do it.
Send someone else or wait.

Nope.

In your rush you sprint across the road and get hit by a bus.....
Or forget to take your keys.....

Just wait.

formerbabe · 20/11/2019 15:53

No...do not do this.

A three minute walk is pretty far imo...I could get quite far in that time.

BarbaraofSeville · 20/11/2019 15:53

Honestly, I'd do it. The chances of the house exploding into flames within the next few minutes are close to zero. If she wakes, she'll cry for a bit, just like she would if you went into the garden to take the rubbish out, or get the washing in.

Nearly everyone will tell you that you shouldn't because what if you get run over while you're out. Of course it would be far better to wake your DD and take her with you so when you get run over, she gets run over too Wink.

Lllot5 · 20/11/2019 15:53

Haven’t you got any emergency credit on your meter or have you used that too?
I think you’re going to have to wait or ask a neighbour to either go or sit in your front room for five mins.

Celebelly · 20/11/2019 15:58

I wouldn't. Either enjoy the ambience of a time before electricity for a couple of hours or wake her up and take her with. Also a two-hour nap beginning at 4pm? Danger nap if ever I saw one Grin

Modestandatinybitsexy · 20/11/2019 16:14

I would, it's not worth anything to wake mine up from a nap, they're a nightmare to get down and would never go back to sleep. Triple check you have your keys and phone in case anything happens and just get a wriggle on.

hidinginthenightgarden · 20/11/2019 16:17

Do you absolutely need electric right now? I wouldn’t do this and I consider myself laid back.

hidinginthenightgarden · 20/11/2019 16:20

Being completely honest, my reasoning is that on the off chance that something DID happen, how would I justify my decision? DH would never trust me again and SS would be investigating. Work colleagues would know, neighbours and family. All because I could wait a bit longer.
