Whingey whiney songs...

I'm having to vent on here as I am SICK of hearing whingey, whiney songs on the radio!!! Every time I switch on, I hear either:

'Better half of me' by Tom Walker
'Bruises' by Lewis Capaldi (in fact ANY of his songs)
That new song by Coldplay
Another droning song by a whingey bloke whose name I've forgotten!!!

They just drone & whinge
I'm literally switching off my radio as these songs/singers give me the rage. I want to hear upbeat, happy songs!!!

Anyone else with me? Any whingey, whiney songs that enrage you?

God, there's a god awful dirge by James Blunt that seems to be constantly played on the Chris Evans breakfast show...dire. Supposed to be oh so moving and I just find it excruciatingly awful and tuneless.

Oh and anything else by James Blunt. (Sorry James. You're funny on Twitter)

Is it me or are a lot of these songs sung by the same man? And the pretty boys are just fronts?

Oh yes this is a big bear of mine too, especially love songs, Ed Sheeran I’m looking at you, if she’s so fucking perfect could you not sound even a little bit happy about it instead of just moany.

Oh and I never got the love for REM either totally whinge bags!!

This week Chris Evans suggested that Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi & the other one should tour together- couldn't think of anything WORSE!!!!!

Jeff Buckley's soppy rendition of Lilac Wine is a pile of shit. Elkie Brooks does it with meaning and vigour !

Most Coldplay songs. Paradise is good though.

Why the overplay on radio of so many whiney songs. Louis Capaldi, Adele and Freya Ridings about 20 times a day ! Aaargh ! And no D.J,Louis does not have THE most amazing voice !

I once heard someone describe Dido as doing music to microwave lasagne to and I've always thought it was very apt.

I can't stand Ariana Grande. Everything seems to be whined through her nose and there aren't any clear words, it's all like a painful moan. "One last time" is my example, I couldn't name anything else she's done but her voice is unmistakable. In a bad way.

Can't stand Take Me To Church - he thinks he's being so meaningful...

Anything by the Smashing Pumpkins, regardless of what kind of song it is. Billy Corgan has the most dreadful nasal whine of a voice.

I have a special loathing for the voice of Sam Smith. The fact that he’s covered Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas feels like a personal insult.
