Glorified Bourbons coated in chocolate.

ThomasHardyPerennial · 20/11/2019 14:28

The mint ones are my fave!

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 20/11/2019 14:32

Fucking love them.

The coloured wrapper. The joke. The picture of a penguin.

Marketing genius.

And thry taste sooooooo good.

Baboutheocelot · 20/11/2019 14:36

Perhaps eating another packet will help you stop, worth a try?

springydaff · 20/11/2019 14:39

They must be laced with something.

Erm... sugar? At a guess.

shwarmachameleon · 20/11/2019 14:40

Ooh try them frozen 🤤

zemblanity · 20/11/2019 14:41

Try Timtams. They're penguins but bigger.

neverundersold · 20/11/2019 14:45

I remember when they had football scores on the wrappers. Bloody love them sometimes have two instead of lunch.

stripeypillowcase · 20/11/2019 14:46

they are so dusty.
how can you eat more than one without your mouth totally drying out?

DownWentTheFlag · 20/11/2019 14:50

I’ve just been to the shops and now I want to go back and buy some Penguins.

unicornsrule · 20/11/2019 17:17

I keep them in the fridge
How many is ok to eat per day?!

OP posts:
golddustwomen · 20/11/2019 17:21

Make a cuppa, bite the top right hand corner and the bottom left hand corner. Dip bottom corner in your tea and suck through the top corner. Then eat. Someone taught me this in work a couple of years ago and I've never looked back Grin

KittenLedWeaning · 20/11/2019 17:22

My Penguin bar tip - take two Penguin bars. Take a layer off each so you have half that is just biscuit and half that is biscuit and cream. Sandwich the two cream halves together - voila, one extra-thick Penguin!

Crystal87 · 20/11/2019 17:57

They're alright, when there's nothing else better in the cupboards.

Butternutsqoosh · 20/11/2019 18:06

You have to nibble each short edge, then each long edge, ease off the top biscuit with your teeth then scrape the chocolate innards out with your teeth then eat the bottom biscuit / heaven!!

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 20/11/2019 18:08

They are what I look forward to when I give blood Smile

unicornsrule · 20/11/2019 18:12

I eat edges first then pull apart then scrape middle bit

OP posts:
poorlymatchedsocks · 20/11/2019 18:17

I have never related so much to a title in my life

Stupiddriver1 · 20/11/2019 18:18

I used to be like this but they don't taste as good as they used to.

ColdRainAgain · 20/11/2019 18:49

I'm siding with zemblanity.
If you think penguins are good, find yourself some TimTams (Amazon, I believe). They are like penguins, but far superior.

Stravapalava · 20/11/2019 18:58

They are really nice. Same as Cadbury Snack bars, I could eat them all day.

unicornsrule · 20/11/2019 19:46

Not sure these thread is helping me stop eating them 🤣

xkcdknowsmybrain · 20/11/2019 20:00

I believe your body knows what vitamins and minerals you have a deficiency of, and gives you a craving for that. I occasionally have a craving for spinach for example (I am vegetarian and may not always get enough iron).

there is probably a trace element in penguins that your body knows it needs.

just eat the whole lot.

FlibbertyGiblets · 20/11/2019 20:03

Tim Tam Slam. Penguin Slam just isn't the same.
/sadface

I suppose OP if we all liked a Penguin they'd be a rare treat so scoff yours down.

Bluntness100 · 20/11/2019 20:04

*How many is ok to eat per day?!=

Are you otherwise a healthy eater op? A healthy weight? Clearly eating lots of biscuits isn't healthy if done daily,

People think it's funny to encourage you to binge. But they've no idea of your relationship with food, or your weight.

If you dripped in you were clinically obese, ore diabetic, and had a binge eating disorder, I'm fairly sure they wouldn't find it funny to encourage you to "eat the lot".
