Spending the night in Liverpool on Friday with my dd13 and her friend. We are staying in hotel at the Albert Dock.

Can anyone recommend anywhere nice but inexpensive to eat and any teenager friendly things to do that are inexpensive or free?

What's Cooking? is a friendly long established restaurant, and I've heard good things about Panam also, both are in the Albert Dock complex.

Hope you all have a fab time!

Museum of Liverpool is free, as are the cathedrals which are amazing buildings.

Greekosophy is v cheap and amazingly good food if you like Greek. Have a wonderful time!

You’ll be right next to the Tate gallery so it would be a shame not to go in. Plus an abundance of museums. The other major art gallery, the Walker, is across the city, free and unmissable.

Slightly further away, if you’re all wrapped up warm, it might be fun to venture onto Crosby Beach on Saturday for the Antony Gormley sculptures. It’s a short drive, train ride away.

You must take a stroll along Hope Street. Two cathedrals, gorgeous architecture, lots of places to eat and the Everyman Theatre.
