As per title.

Am doing home IPL on face which means I have to shave. Could actually shave twice daily and still be stubbly. Am using ladies disposable but they are really killing my face (have tried many diff shaving creams etc) . Have read ladies with Pcos recommend Gillette mach 3, but I am scared to try incase I cut myself badly (have to go to work and it's so obvious)...anyone with any experience?

Hi. It's a faff isn't but hopefully the IPL will work. I've used Mach 3 and Venus and I didn't see all that much difference between them to be honest.

You do have to be a bit more careful They have a handy razor at the top (I think you turn the razor around) which I find very handy.

Thank you. I'm not even using something as sophisticated as a Venus, primarily because I am scared. Just using one of the beauty disposable razors. Is Venus easy to use?

Look up friction free shaving. You can return blades to them for recycling and they have the blade on the top too. They are better than the Venus.

I use my husband's electric razor after years of wet shaving causing spots and cuts and just generally destroying my face. You get a nice close shave with the electric one and it doesn't hurt. (I'm doing the same, home IPL)

I have tried the flawless kind of razor, but it seems to hurt my face too.

I use a man's electric rotary razor, it works well for me.

Disposable razors are so uncomfortable! You won't regret getting something more substantial like a Mach 3.

For the previous poster experiencing spots after facial shaving, I've found that I need a body razor and a face one to avoid getting spotty. I have Venus for my body, and a Gillette one for my face, with a bit of a routine for shaving my hairy face. I lather up with Dove cream bar soap and leave the suds on my face to soften the stubble while I wash the rest of me. Then I lather up again, and make sure the razor is run under the shower to warm up before shaving.

Hormones suck...
