If you’ve got tandem parking...

Do you spend a lot of time moving the cars round? We are mining and will have a drive with tandem parking for 3 cars and lots of on road parking.

Two cars, I sometimes take mine for work, DH always does.

Yes and no.... At the moment I get back last and leave first, so it's not too bad. But in the past and when we've had 3 cars between us, it has seemed like we need to totally shuffle every time.

We're planning to widen the drive at some point (only lived here 14 years........)

No, we have two similar cars (a Focus and a Fiesta) and just share. DH has a longer drive to work than I do, so will sometimes swap to even out the mileage on a weekly basis but with general family comings and goings the usuage and swapping tends to occur naturally.

No. We’ve got into a routine. So I’m first one home and park on the road. Dh comes home and parks on the drive. Then at some point in the evening I put my car on the drive. It’s never been a problem. I’m first to leave in the morning which is why mine needs to be last in.

It's fine as long as you can park on the road as well otherwise it will drive you mad.

Like baroness we have 2 similar cars and while we'd generally prefer to drive our own, we just take whichever is on the end, particularly if staying local. Both cars have full business use for both of us and both end up with similar mileage each year

We have a tandem drive for 2 and 3 cars, not going to lie I would prefer a side by side drive, but we cope.

DH used to take my car off the drive if it was blocking him in, but that became a pain as he has a long commute so now we make sure they are aligned correctly in the evening. It only takes a couple of minutes

3rd car belongs to our D.C. and is parked on the road most of the time

We each have a keys for both cars and 2 sets of car seats. Just take whichever one is in front.

I tend to be home 1st and go 2nd so it normally works. my only issue is if DH is home 1st he will park in his spot stopping me getting on the drive but he is now getting better at leaving car either on road or in my spot.

We do the car dance most days, but it’s not a big deal really. My car is on the drive, DH’s in the garage. I move if he’s going out first, but that’s not often. I park on the drive and move when he comes back, so his can go in the garage.

He has expensive stuff in the boot and I have my yoga mat!
