My body is just odd shape.
I have smallish boobs and a small waist bjt chunky arms! My hips look huge and my thighs rub and my legs are short looking. Anyone else got a weird shape?!?

Me.

Small waist with large arse and thighs but short legs.

If I lose weight I lose my boobs Sad

Trousers dont fit properly. They either fall down or trail across the floor or both.

i look better underweight

Bodies come in all shapes and sizes. Ignore Instagram and models. If you look around uou, you'll see there is no such thing as odd, because everyone really is different.

Go to an art gallery and look at botticelli era paintings. Your shape isn't "odd" at all.

Hollywood, then plastic surgery and then new-media have skewed public perception around what's unusual and what's very normal.

In what way is that odd?

Have you ever heard of lipoedema? I have it and what you describe sounds similar. It’s a fat disorder where fat gets laid down but can’t leave so you can’t loose it. It affects calves, hips, thighs and arms. Not everyone is affected in all those places. I just have it in my calves and typical places like knees.

It might be worth googling.

Just dress for your body shape. if you google body shapes and work out which one you are, then google outfits for that shape you will get loads of ideas. Changed the way I dress.

I'm short and of average build, but with no hips (aside from the actual hips that stop my legs dropping off) Trousers have always been a nightmare and I have bough Levi's jeans for the past X number of years because they do literally every combination of measurements.

I also have absurdly skinny wrists Hmm

If you are female, this is in no way an odd shape.

I have a long waist and short legs. Big hips. Struggle to get tops and jumpers to fit..all are too short and don't even go there with trousers

Bluntness100 · 20/11/2019 08:24

As much as genetics will always play a part, for example you can't make your legs longer, and you can't target specific areas for fat loss, exercise can change your general shape.

So unless you do have something like lipodema, then you can try different things if you're unhappy, for example weight lifting makes muscles leaner and longer on women, so you can do upper body for your arms, do cardio for your lower body, running, elliptical, cycling etc, as well as things like weighted squats etc.

It sounds like you're a fairly typical pear shape, so carry most of your weight on your lower half. Exercise can target specific areas and make a difference to our bodies,

For example I have a tendency towards an Apple. I carry my weight on my tummy. But with the right diet, and exercise I can keep it under control.

Depending on how you feel, you can try some different exercise programs to see how it goes.

Yes! I have very skinny lower legs and lower arms but the rest of me is fat, I’ve always carried weight round the chest/back and tummy but since I’ve put on weight it looks even worse. Tiny boobs on a fat chest looks absolutely awful and I’ve always been self conscious of it even as a size 10 (but now a big 14)

I call my body shape a spider- spindly arms and legs and a round body- and I’ve not found a shop that caters for that! Wink

Tell that to the people who make trousers for women. You can have them fit on the waist or hips/bum but not both.

megletthesecond · 20/11/2019 08:38

I have way too athletic thighs. Skinny hips, no bum and small waist. Like a pear shaped but without the curves.

Trouser shopping is a nightmare. If I want them to pull up over my thighs they are gaping around my hips and waist.
