Vacuum sealed beetroot question

Sorry for posting something so very dull in chat (need a quick answer so posting for traffic):

Vacuum sealed packs of beetroot don’t need to be refrigerated until they’ve been opened do they?

I’m sure they don’t as Aldi don’t have them in a refrigerated section but I’m doubting myself and worried that I’m going to make us all ill.

Does it not say on the packaging?

LoseLooseLucy · 19/11/2019 17:25

No they don't, they're not in the fridge part in my local supermarket.

I stick mine in the fridge but only because I like them cold. There will be a date and storage instructions on the pack somewhere. It may just say refrigerate once opened.

just looked at mine unopened one from aldi it says store in a cool dry place refrigerate once opened and use within two days
