How are the men in your life - or you, if you are a man - marking it?

Hi OP, thought I would reply to your thread. My husband is incredible. I wish I could complain about something, but we are equals to one another and he is just overall an absolute sweetheart.

We’ve been together since we were teenagers and 15 years on I’m still absolutely crazy about him.

I’ve not grown up with great male role models and neither has he, but he has truly grown to become a man I am so proud of.

I ended up having to care for my niece after losing a family member and he took her on as his own, and since day one has never made it as though she isn’t our child. We’ve now had our own and he is just an amazing father and to watch him care for and love them is something that truly makes me happy.

There’s so many double standards and sexism in regards to men on this site and it’s vile. There are some amazing men out there just as there are women. There are also some men that are horrendous, similarly to some women. One gender is not superior to the other. Both can have faults.

I hope your thread does pick up and more women can feel comfortable to speak up about the men in their life that have had a positive impact.

Oops, in regards to how we are “celebrating”, we haven’t any plans. I have made a nice dinner and the children have made some pictures for him. Simple things.
