kids age 6-12, what size feet do they have?

I run a kids camp every summer. At our new venue there is a river where we can paddle, so all the kids need wellies. I want to take a box/bag of spare wellies as I know some will turn up without them.

so, quick survey, kids age and foot size please! (UK or EU sizes please)
(my own kids have giant feet, dd aged 12 is size 8, sadly they take after me, so I am useless at shoe sizes)

8 year old boy - euro 36 (UK 3?)
12 year old boy - euro 42 (UK 8?)

duckling84 for a while DD, ds1 and I all had the same size feet Grin

Now the kids have overtaken me, though thankfully DD's stopped growing just before finding women's shoes became potentially difficult!

fairplay · 19/11/2019 06:39

9 Yr old dd is size 5, 7 year old ds is size 2. We have long toes in this family

ifigoup · 19/11/2019 06:42

Am I the only one thinking that wellies for wading in a river in summer are not all that practical and that a mix of Crocs and jelly shoes would be better?! Halloween Grin

notnowmaybelater · 19/11/2019 06:43

ifigoup you're right. Or just towels and spare cheap tracksuit bottoms and t shirts for those who fall in (whole nother thread on sizes...)

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 19/11/2019 06:47

confusedrn · 19/11/2019 06:49

Mine both have small feet. 10 yo is size 13, 7 yo is size 12

christmasathome · 19/11/2019 09:20

My 10 year old is a junior 13 and my 12 year old is an adult 5

TheMasterBaker · 19/11/2019 09:40

DD1 (12) is also a size 8. My DD2 (10) is about a 2.5-3. She's really teeny weeny in general but her feet seem to be the only bit growing at the moment. She went for about 4 years or so with no foot growth so I think she's catching up now.

dillygaff · 19/11/2019 09:46

6 year old has a size 11
9 year old is a 3

sugarbum · 19/11/2019 09:50

My just turned 10 year old DS has size 6 feet
My 12 1/2 year old DS has size 10 feet. Extra wide (like off the machine at Clarkes wide) He's fun to buy for...

SheepGoesBaaa · 19/11/2019 09:50

DD, 6.5 is a size 13
Dd, 10 is a size 4 adults
Dd, 12 is a size 6 adults

I the last 3 years I have only managed to wear shorts once.
It is rarely hot enough for crocs and jelly shoes, and the water is COLD.

In a really good summer we would get away with crocs, but most years they need their jumpers and waterproofs regularly, so wellies seems more practical.

My 8 year old is a 13 and by 10 year olds are 2 and a half. All boys. The 8 year old is small.

@han01uk yours have massive feet! I’m a size 4!

Damntheman · 19/11/2019 09:55

My 6 year old has a euro 31

Thesearmsofmine · 19/11/2019 09:56

7 year old is a 10 and 8 year old is a 2.

Damntheman · 19/11/2019 09:56

To be fair hornist, UK4 is pretty tiny for an adult :D

steppemum · 19/11/2019 09:58

and we can't go in bare feet - health and Saftey/risk assessment and all that

Elbeagle · 19/11/2019 10:15

I’m a size 4 too, as are two of my close friends, I didn’t realise it was that tiny! I’m 5ft 5 so it’s not like I’m tiny all over.

spiderlight · 19/11/2019 10:27

My 12-year-old us in a UK size 8.

BlueEyedFloozy · 19/11/2019 10:28

I also think of anything below a 5 as tiny but I have size 8 clown feet (I'm 5ft 3).

Most of my family and friends are a 5/6, I only know about 3 adults under that but they are all under 5ft.

Damntheman · 19/11/2019 11:28

I also have clown size 8 feet :D (5ft7) so may be totally bias over what is tiny or not.
