Doubt it, you could have bought it anywhere. What do you mean not what you thought?

TurningLeaves · 18/11/2019 17:54

Did you use your nectar card? If so, you done need a receipt.
They'll prob give you a credit note anyway.

TurningLeaves · 18/11/2019 17:55

I'm sure they'll be fine then. I've done it loads of times.

dementedpixie · 18/11/2019 18:15

What did you think it was?

bubs80 · 18/11/2019 18:17

No cuz it's food

EskewedBeef · 18/11/2019 18:20

What were you expecting and what did you get? If you just picked up the wrong thing, they might not exchange. If it's got a misleading description on the packaging, you've got a better chance.

MyDcAreMarvel · 18/11/2019 18:21

How were you confused by an advent calendar?

homemadecommunistrussia · 18/11/2019 18:25

Yes I am sure it will fine, especially as you only need to exchange it, a refund might have been more tricky.

Mickhasnotorso · 18/11/2019 18:26

Did you think it was a regular calendar?

unicornsrule · 18/11/2019 18:27

I have new nectar app it show transactions on there

OP posts:
unicornsrule · 18/11/2019 18:29

Its a cadburys advent calender
Not the £1.50 one
A bigger one didn't realise that chocolates have vanilla in thought they were solid chocolates like smaller calendars

The Sainsbury's near me won't even let you exchange clothing without a receipt. I wanted to exchange a pair of pjs, I was given as a present and they wouldn't let me swap them for another size.

Ginfordinner · 18/11/2019 18:37

Unfortunately EpressJewel this is how shoplifters sometimes operate. They steal something from the store, then return it for a refund. This means that us honest people lose out.

unicornsrule · 18/11/2019 20:33

Shall i try and exchange or keep it?!

OP posts:
Katinski · 18/11/2019 20:44

Try to exchange it, nothing to lose, you can always gift it on if you don't want to keep itSmile
I bought an item of clothing in there 2 weeks ago. Tried it on at home (they don't have changing rooms), didn't like it, took it back a week later, couldn't find anything else I liked, so was given a credit note. No hassle at all.I'll use the credit note when the Sales startGrin

Katinski · 18/11/2019 20:47

Reading other responses above, my Sainsbury's obv. have more leeway.I don't think they'd refund tho.

unicornsrule · 18/11/2019 21:28

Would exchange
