Does anyone else struggle sleeping due to worry

So i am my own worst enemy. I have gone from looking up people on social media, to comparing my life with theirs, to thinking i havent got anything to be happy about. I know its silly to compare but i easily fall in the trap. Now i cant sleep due to negative vibes. Does anyone else get like this and what do you do to get out of it

I'm like this but I have diagnosed MH problems.

Have you been to see your GP?

Groundfloor · 17/11/2019 21:58

Yes, I suffer from this due to diagnosed anxiety.

The only thing that helps me are drugs.

I tried all the usual stuff such as exercise, healthy foods, no caffeine, read a book etc, but once anxiety grips me, only the drugs work.

Maybe see your GP if it is ongoing?

I went to the GP after not sleeping a wink for 4 days and was on the verge of collapse.

I don’t sleep because of worry. Looking at other people’s lives is very unhealthy. Everyone can only live their own life. Please stop with the social media.

Ah me... that’s why am still awake. Usually never get a full nights sleep, wake up 2/3 times a night.

Have you seen your GP?

I used to be like this but went to the doctors and was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. I'm now on medication and don't suffer with this anymore. See your GP, OP.

Juliecloud · 18/11/2019 00:54

Yep, that’s why I’m on mumsnet at nearly 1am!

I’m wide awake too, worrying about so much. Then in the morning I’m exhausted and have unbearable anxiety.

bloodywhitecat · 18/11/2019 01:18

I am awake because my brain is working overtime. My adult daughter is really struggling at the moment, I haven't seen her in such a dark place for a very long time. Now I am awake and worrying about her I am worrying about what will happen to my foster child, Christmas and the drug withdrawing baby we are hoping will join us very soon (I know FC, Christmas and any baby that joins us will be fine but it is the wee small hours and once you get a worry then others seem to jump on board too)

Have you tried headphones? I listen to the radio or podcasts and it makes a huge difference.
