Can not believe he agreed to do this interview. What a car crash!

Another Andrew thread?

I thought the interview went quite well.

Since watching it I keep wondering what people's reaction would have been had he said, "Oh yes I remember that girl very well, I was certainly taken with her, she was lovely! I had no idea she had been pushed into anything and that is very disappointing, I thought she genuinely liked me".

Well there's not much point in me wondering that because he didn't say it but I think there would have been no reason not to say that had it been the case.

Happysummer2020 · 17/11/2019 00:52

Yea. Guilty as sin

She was 17

You really need to question your morals.

Bluerussian · 17/11/2019 01:20

Yes she was 17 but would he have known she was 17? She could have been 20. I suppose she could have been 15 come to that.

I don't think I'm immoral, Happy, just trying to be objective. I wouldn't be happy if anyone of mine who was pushing forty, went with a 17 year old girl, neither would I have wanted a teenage boy when I was in my twenties! The biggest thing about this is that it appears young women and girls were forced into sleeping with people which is beyond the pale.

Happysummer2020 · 17/11/2019 02:50

Just wow.

Happysummer2020 · 17/11/2019 02:58

'I suppose she could have been 15 come to that
What the fuck is wrong with you to make this statement???

Happysummer2020 · 17/11/2019 03:05

No. You dont get it.

Teenagers who are trafficked or forced into sex with older men or more powerful men are ABUSED.

It's very simple. You're pretty dumb not to GET that.

Bluerussian · 17/11/2019 03:30

I do get it.

What I was saying is you can't always tell how old people are and we don't know who knew the women were trafficked (Ghislane obviously did). Nothing more than that.

JPharm · 17/11/2019 03:35

I’m wondering if there isn’t more evidence of further accusation coming, why else would he have done the interview if it wasn’t for damage limitation?

Tun55 · 17/11/2019 08:19

I find it amusing that he precisely remembers that he was at a pizza express party on 10 March whatever year. He went to Eipstein’s mansion to tell him it was over between them! He stayed there because it was convenient! WTF ??

Sparklingbrook · 17/11/2019 08:21

We need a Prince Andrew topic. So many threads all saying the same thing.

Tun55 · 17/11/2019 08:22

I find it extremely disturbing that he invited Eipstein to Beatrice’s 18th birthday party??? Why would he want at pedo pump at around his young daughter? Makes me want to puke!

Passthecherrycoke · 17/11/2019 08:24

I can’t believe you thought it went quite well @Bluerussian 😭

I’ve never watched anything where it is so obvious someone’s lying. My jaw was on the floor. It really showed him up for what I presume he Is- spoiled, emotionally immature and arrogant.

TheoriginalLEM · 17/11/2019 08:26

So how old was he?

I'll tell you something- when i was 15 I had a crush on a man in his 30s. Thought I loved him. Let the sleazy cunt fuck me in his double glazing show room every Wednesday on my way home from school. I consented.

Does that mean it was ok???? I looked older , but he knew my age. And my parents ffs

kmammamalto · 17/11/2019 08:29

@Tun55 that was my exact thoughts. It was an appalling interview, very garbled and contradictory. He even avoids some questions like about seeing young girls at Epsteins house, he just says well it was like a train station it was so busy! So er... yes you did then!

Happysummer2020 · 17/11/2019 08:59

I'm sorry. That was abuse and I hope you have been able to work through that. Disgusting man!

Happysummer2020 · 17/11/2019 09:02

You've seen her photo right? Looks pretty young dont you think?

Tun55 · 17/11/2019 09:31

@Bluerussian Given his status and position, Andrew could easily find consenting “women” to have sex with. why children.

I agree with you it’s hard to tell if she is is 16-17 or 18. What would anyone half decent do in that case? WALK AWAY! Not just have sex! How does it matter who trafficked her?

ProfessorSlocombe · 17/11/2019 09:59

In the UK ?

No you didn't. Pleased to have settled that.

CommunistLegoBloc · 17/11/2019 10:06

How could ANYBODY have thought that went well? I mean, he flew to see Epstein to tell him he couldn't see him anymore, then stayed for a few more days and attended dinner parties etc with him...because the location was 'convenient'. You have to be a spectacular breed of stupid to believe that.

JPharm · 17/11/2019 13:39

‘I wasn’t that close to him but I had to fly half way across the world to tell him we couldn’t be friends anymore’ 🤔

TheoriginalLEM · 17/11/2019 14:03

My point being that this person took advantage of my naivety and young age. No one would argue that my consent counted for anything and he was indeed a disgusting man.

I think at 17 I'd be blown away that a prince wanted to "be with me" the reality of this isnt any different to sleazy double glazing perv.

I'm 49 now and on reflection this part of my life shaped the adult me. It destroyed my self esteem and expectations of life. I am very bitter about it. I could blow this person's world apart if i wanted - there were people who knew (My parents being in that number) but i wont because he has children and I can't do it to them. can't put myself through it However this lady is doing the right thing to stand up and be counted and is braver than me. Prince Andrew is scum.

HeadsShouldersSneezeandColds · 18/11/2019 01:21

ProfessorSlocombe why do you find it so unbelievable? Teenage girls are groomed and sexually abused (even with their "consent") all the time by older men. Sometimes they believe it's an equal relationship. It never is.

HeadsShouldersSneezeandColds · 18/11/2019 01:22

Oh- I've just re-read and think you were saying "No you didn't" to the statement "I consented"? If so I apologise!
