Effects after DC’s flu spray. Is this normal?

My 2DC had their flu spray on Thursday. Thursday night the youngest vomited once and was a little grouchy yesterday. Come yesterday evening and night my eldest was vomiting a total of 4 times but is better today.
However, both myself and my fiancée vomited last night and today we are sleepy, achey, feel sick.
I just wanted to know if it’s normal and possible for us to get a bit of the flu when it’s only the kids that had the immunisation? Can’t think what else it could be.

No probably a virus

SummerLove2306 · 16/11/2019 22:30

That's Niro. Unrelated to flu.

Egg · 16/11/2019 22:30

Doesn’t sound anything to do with the flu vaccine. Just a vomiting bug.

You all have a mild tummy bug. Nothing to do with the flu spray.

Its a live, attenuated vaccine.
Your DC will have been shedding live, albeit weakened flu virus which theoretically can affect those who have a weakened immune system.
Or, you may have all picked up a norovirus.
Either/or.
Hopefully you all feel better asap.

GrumpyHoonMain · 16/11/2019 22:37

Seems like a norovirus to me. Focus on hygiene and you all should be fine

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 16/11/2019 22:37

It sounds like a sickness bug to me. Hope you all feel better soon Flowers

worriedmumtoteen · 16/11/2019 22:39

It’s not norovirus! Not all sick bugs are norovirus!

Op, it sounds like an unrelated sIck bug. Hope you’re all better soon. Practise excellent hand washing and bleach the entire house.

fairybeagle · 16/11/2019 22:42

Sounds like a bug. Vomiting isn't a symptom of flu.

Thank you everyone for your replies (and sorry for my late one. Still a bit out of it). If it is a tummy bug what a horrid time to have it. Now to clean.
