Lost Facebook invite. What to do!

Evening all. Bit of a random question but Google hasn't helped me!

I got a FB group invite for a birthday party but it was while I was in the middle of school drop off so I just clicked away from it and intended to read/ accept it later. Definitely didn't reject it.

It was from someone I know through work but not very well at all and I did think it was a bit odd they'd invited me to be honest!

Anyway I now can't find it. It doesn't show up in my groups and is no longer showing in my notifications. Does this mean i was invited by mistake and they've just uninvited me in the hope I haven't seen it??

I'm not bothered at all if this is the case but can't rely on that as if it is still out there it would be really rude of me not to respond!

Anyone know what happens to Facebook group invites?! Or do I risk asking the person and potentially really embarrassing them/ myself?!

Click down the side onto events and it should show up in your calendar

This happened to me with a friend’s party, I knew I was invited and had seen the invite but needed to check availability before replying, when I went back to it I couldn’t find it. In my case I just contacted friend and let her know but subsequently I did find it by searching her name.

Aha! Thanks It doesn't. But I'm not sure it was an event invitation. I think it was an invite to a group called eg "sues 40th birthday"

Thanks @whynotnowbaby was it a group or an event? I've searched by name and it isn't coming up so maybe I've been removed?!

Argh, I'm going to have to front it out aren't I!

Is it anywhere under your groups section or if not if you click on the notification symbol it should come up with a history of all your notifications...fingers crossed!

It isn't in groups or notifications no. The weirdest bit is that the invite didn't come from the person themselves but their partner, who I barely know but added me as a friend the day before as I'm assuming they are organising the party. I've checked and they are still in my friends list. I think I will just message them and if they've accidentally added the wrong Wolves it's for them to feel embarrassed about!
