Phishing email

So I've just accidentally opened a phishing email on my phone - I usually spot them and no idea why I opened it.

Can the act of opening and email infect my phone - is it now vulnerable? I've now deleted it.

I have an iPhone...

As far as I know, opening the email won't do any harm. They usually have a link in them - whatever you do, don't click on the link. As you've deleted the email all should be well.
