I’m pretty sure I need to grow a pair and say something to the seller but I don’t know what to say!

I paid £3 for a baby book bundle. I picked up the items this evening and they were in a black bag and there were a lot more books than I was expecting and it was dark so
I drove home. I checked the bag and the books I have are not what was in the picture. What I’ve received is loads of activity books for 3 year olds when I was expecting baby board books.

The seller has been really nice and I felt bad as I arranged to pick the items up on Tuesday but was unwell so I picked them up today. I didn’t actually see the seller as her partner passed me the bag.

She’s messaged me saying “hope the items are OK”. Do I say anything? If so, what do I say? I’m a bit miffed as none of these books are suitable and not what I thought I was getting. But then again I only paid £3 and was a short drive (15 mins) to get them.

WWYD?

Of course you say something. She may have somebody else collecting the books you have who doesn't want baby board books. Sounds like a genuine mistake.

Does this response sound OK “ Sorry for the delay. Thank you I received a lot of books for £3 but they aren’t actually the books in your picture advertised. These are activity books for 3 year olds x”

I would just say 'I think I've been given the wrong books, is the bundle I was supposed to buy still available?'

AlfieandAnnieRose · 14/11/2019 20:41

Yes your reply sounds fine op. Hopefully just a genuine mistake made by her partner

Thanks all. I was just worried about sounding rude as she is very nice. I’m so rubbish with these sorts of things

Definitely sounds like a mistake given she has asked if everything is okay.

Sounds like her partner gave you the wrong bag.
My partner once went to pick something up from a seller and came back with a baby carrier instead of a bundle of sleeping bags.
It happens
