Period pants v towels ...irritation

I have been peri menopausal for what seems ages now. I am having continuous light / very light bleeding for months and months. I stop for a month then on for three. I have been checked and I’m all fine ( scans etc ) this is just what my body is doing now Confused

But. I’m struggling with irritation wearing even light dailies all the time.

Does anyone use period pants. Would these help in the situation ?

Yes definitely.

I have an implant so currently light bleeding almost every day, sometimes medium.

I just wear period pants all the time now.

No irritation, no leaks, they go in the normal wash. I don’t have to think about whether there are pads in my handbag or worry about changing them.

They’re great.

I’ve got a few different types, modibodi, ruby loves, some from Etsy. I think today’s are by Innersy or a name like that on amazon.

Are period pants bulky? Would they be suitable for wearing when exercising?

I've had period pants a few years and love them! They're not bulky (at least not the ones I've tried). I use mobibody, which were the best price when I bought the first ones and have served me very well :) I bought cheeky wipes ones last month which were so much cheaper, not tried them yet. Sizing is v different on them though, I bought my usual knickers size from cheeky wipes and they're a little bigger than expected.

Towels irritate me when I use them for extended periods of time. Period pants would be fine for exercise, much more secure than towels.

I wear period pants at the gym, no problem. They are slightly thicker than normal pants but not noticeably so.

DD wears Modibodis under cycle shorts and while you can see some lines they are hardly more visible than normal underwear,

Modibodi also does a gym pant line, like gym leggings but so far Dd grows too much too fast to spend that amount of money on one piece of clothing but for an adult it may be a good alternative.
