It’s like it’s my specialist skill
Plus I never ever get bored
I don’t know why that is

Maybe you have ADHD?

Lardlizard · 14/11/2019 11:35

Oh I need to google that

I would have a competition with you to see who is the laziest but I am to bone idol to join in Grin

FreedomBird · 14/11/2019 12:05

Same. I could absolutely seize the day today... but I also just can’t.
I blame a very stressful divorce and depression. But I suspect I am probably just very good at doing nowt.

I am very lazy.... isnt it a sign of depression? I have so much spare time and don't do anything... just sit around watching tv and playing on ipad. I should be doing 50 other things that need doing!

CandlesAreHere · 14/11/2019 13:07

Same. I’ve found my people.
I can spend all day browsing on my iPad, looking at nothing, or reading.
I adore weekends when we have nothing planned.
Going for a ‘walk in the fresh air’ is my idea of hell (thank god we don’t have a dog).
Cleaning the house and cooking are more hell (DH usually does them).
However, when I have to, I’m very good at going to work and also doing the laundry.
I just don’t want to/don’t like doing other ‘stuff’ that other people run around doing.
I don’t think my laziness is a sign of depression or ADHD - I’m a very happy, peaceful, bod who can’t be bothered doing things just for the sake of it.
I just enjoy doing nothing much.

Lardlizard · 15/11/2019 18:07

Hope you’ve all had a nice lazy day

Another lazy one here too. I'm so content in my own home alone or just pottering about the kitchen. I can sit down with my phone or a book and just not look up for ages. I love pyjamas and blankets and often get into bed at 9pm just to lounge in it, not even to sleep yet.

Guineapigbridge · 15/11/2019 18:11

Do you know your purpose?
What your life is for?

Answer that ^ and therein lies the solution to your laziness.

Zaphodsotherhead · 15/11/2019 18:44

It's weird, isn't it? Something to do with motivation I think.

Today I was supposed to be writing. So I noodled around on Mumsnet til lunchtime and then went for a ten mile run.

So it's not physical laziness. It's almost as if I'm afraid to start anything that I can't finish to perfection. Running has no pressures on me, so I can do that.
