I have a really, really big tiled area downstairs. They're hard wearing, nothing-can-affect-me tiles so any type of steam or powerful cleaner can be used.
I currently have a vax steam mop that was about £50 quite a few years ago. It's coming to the end of its life. It's been ok but it's too-short cord and general okayishness means I'd like to really research if there's some sort of holy grail in hard floor cleaning that I'm missing!
Also, we're getting a new young pet at Christmas that will be generally confined to this area to begin with so I want something with proper germ/smell killing power.
I don't really want to go back to mop and bucket, it's just to big an area!
