Which iPad?

I had an iPad 2, then for a while I've had a Samsung tablet. Despite being an ardent android phone user I really fancy getting another iPad. I'm a bit out of touch though - I don't want the latest fancy expensive one. I have seen iPad 4 on sale for about 160 but I suspect that might be too old now. Would be interested in people's thoughts.

Well it makes sense to buy the current one if longevity is what you're after? You'll pick the 2019 one up for about £350 or less if budget allows?

I would probably buy one from 2017-2019 and wait until Black Friday as there will probably be deals on them.

Check that the model that you want supports the latest iOS which is iPad OS13, the iPad mini 4 does support it but it is from 2015 so I would probably get something newer if you can afford it.
