Late first baby - when was second born?

Posting here for traffic.

First baby was 12 days overdue and induced. Wondering what the chances are of a second one being as late, as might affect whether we ttc this month!

DS1 was 40+10 but DS2 was pretty much on time (40+2).

DS3 on the other hand.... 42 weeks and induced...

How far along are you now?

Just reread your post. Sorry. Are you trying to avoid the summer baby Aug/Sep thing?

DC1 was 2 weeks late, and so was DC2... went into labour both times the night before they were going to induce me.

For what it's worth though I think it's madness trying to plan conception to this degree. Nature is a strange beast. If you both want another baby I would just start trying and leave the rest to nature. Who knows, you could have trouble conceiving this time, baby could be born prematurely, other things could happen that you've got no control over.

Same day for both, 41+1. In reality no way of knowing though.

So hard to tell.
DD was 40+6 and DS was 42 weeks.

Mine were both late. First one 4 days late, second 6 days

First late by 11 days (had to be induced as waters went but didn't go into labour).

Second - 9 days late - no intervention.

First one two weeks late.

Second one two weeks early.

Both 42 weeks. Both EMCS.

First baby - two weeks late.
Second baby - two weeks early.
Third baby - two weeks late.

So who the hell knows Other than you can’t plan on nature. I would probably begin TTC late Dec to be in safe side. My first was conceived in the Feb and so is an October baby - still one of the oldest in the class.

Ds1, 13 days over and induced by pessary.
Ds2, 3 days early, planned homebirth.

Thanks! Yes I think if we conceive this month baby would be due 25 August, and I wouldn’t want them to be the very youngest if I could avoid it. I’ve conceived the first cycle trying 4 times, and once the second cycle (4 of those ended in mc, but I had treatment for my son and have every confidence it would work again), so there is quite a high likelihood of it working out. Seems cannot predict when baby would arrive though so best off waiting until next cycle.

DC1 was 9 days late
DC2 was just a few hour into 40+1

Mine were both 40+4.

Just over 24 hours before his due date.

It was a surprise as there were no signs of him being on the way and I was booked in for an induction on the Monday on my due date due to maternal age (he was born early Sunday morning).

I went from feeling a bit sad that I wouldn't experience naturally starting labour at midnight (couldn't sleep), to "ow that's quite niggly" at 1.30am, to contractions 3 mins apart and not sure my mum would get there in time to collect ds1 at 3.30am, to baby born at 7am. Was fab!

The reason I asked is because although DS1 and DS3 were 10 & 14 days late, it was DS2 who was due 24 Aug who came pretty much on time Of all of them he should've just held on a week...

But you just can't plan these things!

DD1 was 11 days late and I was induced. DD2 was born on her due date. Strangely, DD1 is always the one we have to wait for when we're going out or doing anything - she's never ready. DD2 is always ready with everything organised - we never have to wait for her!

Ds1 40+11
Dd 40+5
Ds2 36+4

First one 2 weeks late and induced. Second one 2 week early.

DS 1 42 weeks (spontaneous labour)
DS 2 40+10 (induced)
Strong family history of long pregnancy too.

40 weeks and 17 days
38 weeks and 6 days

Second baby was bigger and a longer labour too. I don’t know if that makes a difference to anything.

My first by was due 29th August, he was 15 days late!!
Second baby one week late

I'd wait until next month to try

1st 41+4
2nd 35+2
3rd 33+4

Baby 1 - 41 weeks
Baby 2 - 39+3

I assumed my next baby would also be 12 days late after my first one was.
But she came one day after her due date.
And Son one day early.
