DC showing strong indications of dyslexia, was screened for it in July and it results were high probability, school have just informed me the local authority will not conduct formal screening and parents must pay privately. I'm outraged, surely it's a basic right to receive an education regardless, my DC is in year 2 and cannot read or write! Could possibly be discriminatory even? Does anyone have any experience or advice please?
