Help! I've got the most horrific ear ache, paracetamol and ibuprofen won't touch it. Anything I can try? I'm literally rocking about wanting to scream Sad

If you are in the uk could you call 111 for advice. Since you are not managing with otc medication they may be able to arrange an out of hours appt for you

Don't lie flat it will make it worse, sleep propped up with the bad ear facing up. Maybe try something warm on it.
Get to the doctors in the morning they will have a look and if needs be give you some antibiotics.

Try a warm flannel pressed up against your ear. I had a horrendous ear infection a. Few years ago and a warm compress was the only thing that would give me some relief.

Urgh I had a terrible ear infection a few years ago, it was agony. hot water bottle or ice wrapped in a tea towel. And get to the doctors for antibiotics.

I've only had an ear infection once in my life. It was possibly the most horrific pain I've ever felt. I was up all night rocking and moaning and wanting to cut my head off to get rid of the pain. It's right inside you head and impossible to ignore. I was at the door of the doctors at 8.30 the next morning for an appointment and he couldn't do anything for the pain but gave me antibiotics. Later that day the ear burst and loads of yuck came out but by god it was such a relief!!!
You have all my sympathy!!!
