Boring one about freezing food

I should know this but mumsnet is the best at quick advice! I'm trying to make dinners a bit quicker so am batch cooking meals (healthy ones as well as not healthy ones) I was wondering, if I made up some mash and cooked some sausages, could I freeze the mash and sausages in a tuppawear box and then defrost in the fridge overnight and heat up for dinner the next evening?

Yes. I do it all the time. Although I find reheated sausages can get a bit rubbery

Freeze mash all the time

Thanks that is really helpful! I've got in a bit of a rut with buying convenience foods which obviously aren't great for the environment and are probably less healthy too!

Frozen mash is great, but I'd not bother cooking the sausages before freezing them. Then defrost as normal and cook while the other bits are doing.
