Superdrug online doctor

Only just realised that superdrug have this service and that you can get your contraceptive pill from there.
I am thinking of trying this as trying to get an appointment at my gp, approx 5 milesaway when i don't drive and also its always a long wait as they are so busy.
Has anyone else used this service from superdrug and how did you find it.

I used it to get ABs for a uti. Expensive but v convenient, efficient, dignified and professional.

I have. It's very easy to use. You do have to be in to sign for the delivery.

You have to pay for it, j think it was £25.99 for six months of microygen 30 when I got it a few years back.
Mine was laziness as I couldn’t get booked into the surgery for three weeks and I was running out.
You do need to have a blood pressure reading to input though when you apply for it

I’ve used it can pick up in store normally in few hours and it’s ready. Or pay extra and it’s delivered. Long as you answer the questions safely and add any medical information its just as good as GP.

Have used for inhalers and UTIs where trying get appointment would take days.

So if i order, i then pay online and just collect in store, do i need to take any id in, how do they know its the correct person.

JUst say I’ve come to collect my order give name address. In same way if you pick up prescription from the pharmacy and you give same details.

Their doctor will check your details and you get email confirmation when they have signed it off. Then a time when it will be ready from.

If you've had a uti before and recognise the symptoms, their online doctors will prescribe a 3-day course of macrobid. You have to complete a questionnaire and they'll contact you if they're in doubt.

Can your GP not just prescribe them over the phone/repeat? When I was on the pill the only time I saw the doc was for the initial prescription. They obviously don't need to see you in person otherwise online places wouldn't be able to prescribe without seeing you either.

The Problem with UTI is the basic test “dip stick” only shows up a small number of infections. Can’t remeber the exact science but it’s well documented fact as many women will attest who’ve been told no you don’t have one! Yes your body may fight it off eventually buts it’s very uncomfortable and distributive thing to have.

The new guidance is if you have all symptoms and it’s not cleared by just drinking lots then you take a small course of anti Bio. Obviously if high temperature or kidney pain they tell you to get checked out in case is higher track infection.

I do like the Superdrug clinic. Would recommend.

I use it OP, it's fine, same as ordering literally any other thing. I have mine sent to the local post office and collect there.

I think from memory though you need to provide some sort of evidence of your blood pressure (have it checked at a pharmacy etc, then give them the info).

Sounds quite straightforward with superdrug , my gp doesn't allow ordering prescriptions over the phone anymore and as its the pill they do bp and height and weight checks every 6 months, mine never changes.
