Period pants for DD

DD (11) has just started her periods. She isn’t getting on well with pads and it’s all a bit irregular but still fairly light at the moment.
I was thinking of getting her some period pants. They make me a little nervous as I have no experience (my periods are very short and very heavy these days so haven’t bothered).
Anyone got any good, relatively cheap suggestions. I don’t want to spend too much on the basis she’s growing.
Will a pair be a enough to do a day in school?

DD wears Modibodis and loves them. She has the largest of the teen version but wears 14-15/15-16 in pants and trousers.

Just rinse after use, wash them with some detergent on a cold cycle. They do take a bit until dry but we got along with 4 but I bought 6 to make my life easier.

She uses otherwise the teen range from Lille’s and after some objections also started using tampons as she got her period just before a scout holiday including water sport activities.
