The perfect gift for Christmas

There used to be a thread on here, aimed at gifts for men that weren't things such as socks, toiletries etc.
It had some fab ideas on there, like the Wallet Ninja, Grid-It and Form cards. I have them all in my Amazon basket ready to go for various men of the family.

I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas for generic type gifts like this, for men or women too. Something that most people would probably appreciate.

Teens and kids too, just they seem easier to buy for.

The last thread seemed to help a lot of people out, so thought it would be nice to see if the same could be done here Smile

Thank you for starting- sadly nothing useful to add at the moment but I found the other thread useful.... I’ve ordered a ninja for FIL.

You're welcome @Orchidflower1 Smile
The ninja is pretty good for most people. Am sticking one inside a wallet for my 2 young adult nephews, and also getting one as part of my brothers gift, step fathers too.

Things dp always appreicates:

Craft beers

Good whiskey, port or brandy

Cheese, crackers, chutneys, pickles

A new jumper (he rarely buys himself clothes during the year)

I bought him a massage voucher for his birthday and after some initial reluctance, he ended up loving it - will probably get him another for Christmas

Vinyl - I'm going to get him a vinyl care kit too, I think

Posh socks - eg Paul Smith

Portable phone charger that holds enough power to charge phone twice. Useful for phones where the battery is slowing down.

Also wireless headphones. Ones you can talk on your phone with.

Sugru always goes down well with DH

Glasses repair kit for glasses wearers

Magnetic wrist band for screws etc when doing diy

So many good ideas.

Love the Sugru @BrieAndChilli - have just googled it and found the website.

@Autumnfresh - do you know of a specific charger that would charge it twice? That would be great for my DM.

I have an Anker battery pack, and you get good three charges from it if not more (I tend to put it on charge each time its used) and it is lasting very well too - its been rattling round in my handbag for 3 years now

Autumnfresh · 10/11/2019 21:23

@SouthernNorthernGirl sorry I haven’t bought it yet. It was on amazon at £12 or so. It stores enough battery power to recharge twice.

SouthernNorthernGirl · 10/11/2019 21:27

Is it the Anker ones that @CMOTDibbler recommends? I've just looked at them on Amazon and they look pretty good.

Shameless bump.
I always learn something new on MN threads. Hoping some fab ideas get put across on here Smile

There is usually a thread on the Christmas board called 'hard to buy for men' or something similar. The Christmas bargain thread is usually a good place to get bargain inspirations from too. It's on thread number 13 'I do not need a baby for Christmas!' at the moment.
