I find it difficult to touch my toes. I have tight hamstrings and compacted vertebrae. It doesn’t stop me exercising though.

It won't stop you from exercising, although it's worth warming up properly and doing appropriate stretching. As long as your GP has no concerns then you're good to go!

I don't know whether it can be reversed fully but I have seen people dramatically improve their mobility thanks to good advice from a coach and deep tissue massages.
