Has anyone been turned down for a blue peter badge?

DD (6) applied for a music badge last week and I’m trying hard to keep expectations low. I’m wondering if they are more or less guaranteed if you meet the criteria or if you really need to impress to get one.

Has anyone had any success or lack of success recently? I know that back in the day it was by no means guaranteed.

we applied too...its been more than a month now still waiting...I couldn't find any information if it has been given out yet. Do you know?

DS sent off for a sports badge last year. It took a while but we got a letter saying he would get it, but demand was overwhelming, then the actual badge arrived a couple of months later.

I did worry that it might not be accepted as his writing is barely legible to the point that I rewrote underneath in brackets, and he only wrote about two sentences.
