Vitamin D

I've recently been prescribed a loading dose of vitamin D due to low blood levels and it's just occurred to me that maybe my psoriasis will improve as a result? My GP has prescribed vitamin D ointment before and it did a good job but as the psoriasis is mainly on my scalp it was difficult to reach the areas I needed to. Anyone had any experience with this?

Vitamin D is quite amazing. I was tested as part of miscarriage investigations. Apparently low levels can be a factor in miscarriage and loads of women of child bearing age have low levels even if they get out and about a lot. It acts as a hormone despite being a vitamin the consultant said.

Nutrition has never interested me much but now low levels of a vitamin are affecting my health I find it fascinating!
