Unsutured vaginal tear

Hi everyone

hoping to get some insight if anyone has had the same or similar experience and what you did to resolve the matter.

I had my little girl a year ago and during birth I got a 2nd degree tear which the midwife stated didn’t needed suturing.

I good few month after having her I noticed that the tear goes up the back of my vaginal wall and has healed open. So there are two flappy edges, almost like a V. (Sorry for the info). I have been to my doctors a few times and they don’t seem to think it’s an issue. After me banging on I managed to get an appointment with a gyaen a year after my LG was born. The appointment was useless and the dr said he could see anything and it was all in my head. I’ve then resulted to taking a picture of my lady bits while sitting in the loo (very hard if you haven’t tried) and taken the picture to my go yet again to show them there is an issue and I am not making it up. Upon taking the picture I have now noticed one of the side of the tears hang out. Sorry to be so graphic. The gynae told me I have vaginal rippling (never heard of this and can not find on google.

So my questions are : is there any other mum that has experienced this?

What can I do to get this issue sorted?

Any advice please bombard me I need to feel normal and I need to feel there is something that can be done.

MANY THANKS MUMMIES

I know after my first was born I did have noticeable changes down there. Could it be that ?

What issue is it causing you?
I had no tears , tiny graze apparently obviously no stitches, but it looks like an absolute train wreck in comparison to pre kids.

I wish it was just changes but it’s csused by the tear that wasn’t stitched. I know there would be changes. This however causes me pain. With clothing, tampons, underwear and sex. X

@raspberryk I experience pain during sex, my pj bottoms where get caught in the tear which causes it to be sore. When I’ve tried wearing tampons the tampon gets caught in the tear when I put it in. It’s painful and sore which is why I went to the doctors.

Ouch that doesn't sound good, dedintely go back, tell them again the issues it's caused you and ask for a referral to a different gynea for a second opinion.

Insist, maybe they are worried you will sue. Go to the Dr and say you want a 2nd opinion

I have a completely bodged V since child birth! I was lucky and saw a sympathetic gynae consultant who has booked me in for a repair. Do you have any sign of prolapse? I think he was more concerned with this but said the other needed fixing too. Could you ask for a second opinion?
