I am 36. My periods are always 30 days apart and have been since I was about 11. BUT I realised I haven’t had on for a while and felt like I was due so I looked back and my last was 35 days ago - but the odd thing was that the cycle before that was only 20 days long. The ones before that normal. M
So the cycles have been
30 days
30 days
20 days
35+ days.

I am deffo not pregnant DH had a vasectomy 4 years ago and the 20 day cycle was totally normal ( not implantation or anything!)

Tbh I normally wouldn’t care but dh is booked in for a vasectomy reversal in jan and we wanted to Ttc. This is putting the the fear into me Blush

Cycles tend to get a bit shorter as you age. But IME this changes quite gradually. A very short (20 days) menstrual cycle can mean that ovulation is not occurring. Likewise a very long one of 35+ days. Is it worth asking for a blood test to find out?
You are more likely to be approaching menopause if your mother had an early menopause, otherwise you're a bit young.

I know my mum was still having periods at 42 but she died then so no idea how much longer after that they would have lasted!. My gran had my mum at 41 though so hopefully there is no family history of an earlier menopause.

I feel a bit silly going to the doc already in a panic but if this continues I probably should before DH goes for the surgery Haloween Sad
