Bleeding through pregnancy

I was bleeding before my first scan which was last week and it turned out there was a string heartbeat and measuring at 6 weeks 5 days , the bleeding has carried on and it is quite dark, today It felt more like a light period with the pain.
Has anyone else experienced this ?
How common is bleeding during pregnancy?
I have so not got a good feeling I have had too many miscarriages

I had bleeding with DD until about 16 weeks. It was such a worry. No reason ever given and it's not happened with any of my other pregnancies.

Dark blood is old blood, so I think that's good. But, I think you should call and get checked out again as you'll tie yourself up with worry otherwise.

Is the pain mild? Like light period pain?
