Indian takeaway favourites

I'm an Indian takeaway virgin but finally going to try our local one tonight, what does MN recommend?

My favourite is Palak paneer which is spinach and cheese.Yum

Pili pili chicken

Chana sag masala - chickpeas with spinach - yum. And I’m not a vegetarian!

Paneer shashlik
Lamb achari
Veg pilau

Yum

Chicken tikka saag with cheese n garlic naan extra extra cheese 😍

Palak paneer
Lamb biryani
Chicken pakora
Keema naan
Chips, garlic sauce and chilli sauce.

Paratha - it's really bad for you
Chicken Passanda creamy and lovely to mop up with the paratha. Or Dhansak - yummy.
Chana bhaji, sag aloo, brinjal bhaji
Pilau rice
Poppadom

I have honed this little collection over the years and these ar all my absolute favourite.

Ooh all of it. . I love an Indian take away. Do you like chilli, OP? If so, a nice ‘masala’ or ‘balti’. If you like sweet/sour and creamy, a korma. And you can’t go wrong with a channa dhal.

Aloo saag. Always nicer than I make it.

Am now kicking myself for letting DH go for fish and chips. Love an Indian takeaway.

I always get chicken tikka saag, mushroom rice and a garlic naan.

Onion bhajis and pinch one of DPs meat samosas to start. Oh god I want one now

Lamb pasanda

Tarka dahl. Garlicky lentil heaven. Especially with lemon rice, paneer shashlik and a spinach bhaji. Ultimate comfort food and I too am not a vegetarian.

Also... how old are you and why is this your first ever Indian?

Oh... and a lamb chop to start!!

So many choices, I might have to go back every week!

Can't believe you've never had an Indian! If it is a standard (actually Bangladeshi) one I would have lamb dhansak if you can handle some but not too much spice. Prawn puri for starter. Sag aloo side.
