Mothercare closing down sale?

According to the news, Mothercare sale starts today...I dont particularly want to trek there with my baby unless its confirmed. If anyone knows any inside info (especially on the Bluewater store) please share!

Online looks normal price to me, it says discounts coming soon?

By all accounts is about 10% off in store, hardly worth the trek as that would still make most stuff cheaper elsewhere.

According to people commenting online on our local news site the staff at our local branch had no clue there was meant to be a sale on. No one had informed them so basically they were left to deal with lots of frustrated people who had travelled to the store after been told there was a sale.

No sale in my local store. It was rammed packed with people buying all sorts. Too little too late now

Online now showing the reductions. It pretty much demonstrates why they’re closing down doesn’t it, everything is still more expensive than elsewhere!

I'm 13w pregnant so not really thought too much about prams/cat seats etc.

Was worrying if I should go down tomorrow so I don't miss a bargain! Sounds like I don't have to worry too much then.

Think I'd be better doing some research & buying elsewhere rather than going down in a panic with no idea what I actually need lol

Our local store's one doesn't start till Monday

(so might be worth calling the store to check. I only know about our store as someone on the local mums FB group went in and nothing was on sale!)

I doubt there will be any massive discounts. The administrators have a fiduciary duty to get as much money out of the estate as possible, and that precludes selling stock at a massive loss if it can be returned to the suppliers to shrink the debts to suppliers.

The only things that will be going cheap will be the stuff it would cost more to dispose of as landfill, or to transport and store.

Same thing when Woolies went, and Comet.

I went today, 10% off most stuff, 15% off pyjamas and 20% off the little bird stuff.

Mothercare sale is on! I just been to the one in southampton and yes the sale is on and long queues but moving fast.
