This spot appeared on DD’s arm this morning. It looks really angry though. Is it probably just a bite? Any suggestions on creams to apply? Thanks

Yep looks like a bite I suggest hydrocortisone cream if you can get it from your pharmacist works wonders for ds he reacts to everything from midges to fleas

Could she have been anywhere in long grasses / woodland areas or around dogs anytime up to a couple of months?

MePleease · 07/11/2019 19:17

Thank you @stressedout10, I’ll pop to the chemist in the morning ☺️

If another red ring appears around it or it's not disappearing in a couple of days I'd get it checked out.

Yes, we are next to woods and sometimes she plays just at the entrance to those woods.

I'd draw a ring around it to see whether it spreads.
If it does and it tracks , like following a line up or down, get it checked out.

There has been an increase in lymes disease from tick bites that live in undergrowth areas. But normally you get another red ring around the bite. Just keep an eye on it

Oh thanks for the warning. I can’t draw a line on it now as she’s asleep unfortunately (and she’s an absolute disaster if I disturb her in the night 🙈). I’ll keep a close eye on it just to be on the safe side and take her to the GP if I’m concerned. Thank you.
