New to this so please be gentle 😉

I'm 33 and don't currently have children. I took my last contraceptive pill on 1st October, had my withdrawal bleed from 5th October which lasted around 6 days as usual. Had unprotected sex on the weekend of 19th Oct and 26th Oct.

Had a v light bleed on 3rd Nov, which lasted around 1.5 days - assumed it was my period but given how light it was and how short, I'm now not so sure.

Did a test on 3rd Nov - negative. Tested again 6th November - still negative.

All of the advice I've read obviously says that you should test around 1 week after your missed period, but as I've been on the pill for the last 16 years, I have no idea what my natural cycle is and therefore when my natural period should be, so won't know when I've missed it!

I know it can take a while for your periods to return after coming off the pill too, so I'm super confused right now 😕

I'd also point out that I do know it's a good idea to wait for one natural period before having unprotected sex, but here we are...

So, when should I test again, if my period doesn't show?! Any advice gratefully received!

I also really like the idea of being able to talk / rant with others in a similar boat so do jump on the thread and let's do this journey together 🙂

Hello, I'll join!

I'm 35... been TTC for 18 months 🙃 ... recently had removal of mild endometriosis and hoping that does the trick. Due on tomorrow and had cramping for a few days 🙄

I would wait a few days after missed period, the hormone gets stronger by the day so the longer you can leave it the more accurate xx
