Leather- if you are vegetarian

If you are vegetarian- do you still buy/wear leather? Eg bags / shoes / jacket?

I am assuming that cattle are not specifically killed for this; but then if you wouldn't kill the animal to eat it, then it's wrong to still wear its skin?

I'm not asking about vegans here, but people who eat dairy but not meat.

There is a current fashion for just redefining words to mean whatever you want them to. I think that's happening here with the chicken eating veggie!

I have dubious credentials. We all do. Like a pp said, I do my bit. But I don't object to the question, I do tend to hold forth and judge a bit so it's useful to look again at my Mulberry and LV bags, Gucci belt etc and remember to wind my neck in but also be happy with my choices. Am I a true vegetarian? I don't know but I don't eat meat, support decent charities and organisation's and have a billion rescues in my house which has essentially removed my pension. X
