Is there already a thread about the instamum dramas involving MoD today?

Belty

Where has this information come from?

sniffingthewax · 09/11/2019 17:36

There is very possibly something going on behind the scenes. TMS alluded that MOD has been causing trouble for her family for the past 8 months.

ziggiestardust · 09/11/2019 17:40

Tattle are saying MOD posted under the username allaboardtheallergybus as well, although I don’t know how true that is.

If it is true, and her comments were similar to those made on tattle (pushing her own Insta page/slagging off other instamums), how embarrassing that MNHQ seemingly deleted threads in the past that genuinely questioned the instamum pack, and also the legitimacy of some posters (ie were they sock puppets for certain instamum accounts?)

Tattle seems to have gotten to the bottom of MOD’s sockpuppet account on there relatively swiftly by checking IP addresses; so when MOD was on a #gifted holiday in the Maldives or wherever; guess where the Tattle sockpuppet account was posting from? Hmm

The Telegraph are now reporting on this... I’m intrigued as to how she’ll come back from this. She will, for sure. But how?

Jesus this is all another world to me. Who on earth are all these deeply sad people? I don’t know who’s worse; these ‘influencers’ or the tragic commenters with their toady tongues up their arses! Who on earth has time for all this shit?!
Been an education though, thanks OP! Grin

EstebanTheMagnificent · 09/11/2019 17:41

The MOD story is almost a full page on p3 of today’s Telegraph, with a massive pic. It’s certainly crossed over to mainstream reporting.

OopsUditAgain · 09/11/2019 17:43

I really really doubt this is true. Belty is just trying to cause more trouble for Clemmie Hooper. Nice. That really is trolling.

ziggiestardust · 09/11/2019 17:43

@DonkeyHotty I think it’s quite interesting; we’re clearly at the beginning of an era regarding children’s privacy online, and also transparency regarding advertising on certain platforms. I’m intrigued about how 20 years from now, this will influence laws and rights of parents over their children.

RexDangerVest · 09/11/2019 17:43

Just read it's her birthday today 😬 🎈

MarshaBradyo · 09/11/2019 17:44

The Telegraph covered it last time back when the ad threads started, someone has a keen eye on here and tattle too now probably

The backlash has been quite brutal. I didn’t think people would care that much

ColdPlayDefenceLeague · 09/11/2019 17:46

I've just looked at Father of Daughters Instagram.
Could he be more in love with himself?
Grin

ziggiestardust · 09/11/2019 17:48

@MarshaBradyo I do think there is an element of people being very eager to watch people fall from grace, as well as the genuine ‘she was a dick’ thing.

MarshaBradyo · 09/11/2019 17:50

True Ziggie

HowlsMovingBungalow · 09/11/2019 17:52

It isn't just sad though is it? This is how massive companies sell their products and advertise to the world now through these 'insta personalities'. It FUCKING NEEDS REGULATING! There needs to be laws in place for these advertisers children who are filmed/photographed constantly. They are being used by these companies to promote products.
If their children were modelling or acting, they would have management and contracts.

It needs a fucking shake up, a big fucking shake up.

DonkeyHotty · 09/11/2019 17:53

@ziggiestardust yes, that’s interesting. None of it sits right with me. I stopped putting my dds on FB a few years ago when they were old enough to tell me not to. Since then I’ve deleted FB completely. I’d hate for them to feel embarrassed by any pics that could be unearthed one day!

The advertising thing is interesting. I had a brief dabble with interiors accts on Instagram (again deleted now) when I was doing up our house, it was a few years ago now but all this makes sense as I couldn’t work out how all the ‘big’ accounts seemed to have the same stuff and to know each other! Not just mums at it... 🤔

ziggiestardust · 09/11/2019 17:56

Looks like she’s been dropped by M&S...

HowlsMovingBungalow · 09/11/2019 17:59

I think if you are an adult and selling your home/shitweightlossproduct/MLM that's up to you, it is your choice only.
Dragging children into sales pitches - filming all, photographs, huge paragraphs of tiny minute details of meltdowns/illness/school days/holidays
etc? Nah, they have not consented and there will be a footprint online forever... There will be huge backlashes to this shite in years to come.

MarshaBradyo · 09/11/2019 18:00

Might she have not been in it anyway? I haven’t seen it

MarshaBradyo · 09/11/2019 18:02

That was re M&S

I agree on children
There are two things which bug me lack of transparency and using children as content to gain £. They are essentially sitting ducks (it’d be hard for many Instagram parents to make regular content without them) and they can’t consent.

morningdread · 09/11/2019 18:04

There are two things which bug me lack of transparency and using children as content to gain £.

This annoyed me too & I hated the change in algorithm by facebook
which pushed the big accounts to the top of instagram & the homogeny of it all.

ziggiestardust · 09/11/2019 18:04

@Marsha possibly. I’d love to know when they launched their Christmas stuff last year though; my Nan was always convinced the ‘older’ brands (M&S, JL etc) used to wait until after Remembrance Day to launch their Christmas lines out of respect but that might be utter, utter bollocks Grin

BanKittenHeels · 09/11/2019 18:05

Totally agree that featuring children in social media campaigns needs to be regulated. I’ve been shouting this from the roof tops since the SJ’s got chummy with Zalfie.

ziggiestardust · 09/11/2019 18:06

Ooooh really good point re: actual child models etc having proper contracts in place! I wonder if any of the children are having money put in trust, like the kids from Teen Mom on MTV? The parents were paid but I believe so were the kids, in trust to pay for college etc.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 09/11/2019 18:07

and not too mention the complete lack of safeguarding with these 24/7 instamums - it doesn't take many brain cells to track which schools the children attend, the area they live in (even their actual homes) etc.

It needs stopping, but can't figure how you can tame the ugly ££££'s grabbing monster now.

mustangsly · 09/11/2019 18:15

@HowlsMovingBungalow Yes, absolutely. The safeguarding ignorance is just fucking appalling.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 09/11/2019 18:21

Sorry, it really irks me that these huge companies just see children as pound signs and these parents are totally engulfed in it, with little thought to how this will affect their childrens childhood/adult life.

It is ugly. There needs to be a campaign to get this new advertising industry regulated and soon.

(steps off soapbox)
