Wanted: amazing choc chip cookie recipe

Tried a bunch of them and never quite right! Slightly crisp, caramelised, but not cakey, but still melt in the mouth.

Please recommend if you have any go-to recipes, or indeed good recipes for other biscuits or cookies!

Recipe is in USA cups , sticks of butter , Alll Purpose flour ( I had to look up things like Baking Soda )

Jst be sure to take them out of the oven when still soft as they will firm up as they cool.

I third Nigella, and you can freeze half the dough for cookie emergencies.
