what men think of women's belly rolls...

I'm hoping there are some blokes out there who can enlighten me on what men actually think of women's bellies if they are not taut and flat. When you are surrounded by images of flawless beauties, what do you think when a jelly belly is revealed?

I think people (men and women) see the whole physical package - face, hair, body shape, height, grooming, clothes, presentation - not just one element in isolation.

There are always going to be some elements which are less than perfect, but it's the package as a whole which they find attractive (or not so much).

And that's without even taking personality and confidence into account.

If your friend is anxious about this, I would recommend exercise and grooming. Not because of their effect on her appearance, but because of their effect on her confidence.

She needs to decide what SHE wants. Not worry about who will want her.

Exactly, anybody who is really bothered about belly rolls just won't reciprocate.

There's just a bit more to cuddle!

And tbh, if he's seeing it (since I presume a crop top isn't part of her usual wear!), I think you've got to a point where he'll be more interested in other body parts anyway...

Toporama Thank you! I am going to definitely flag up your answer to my df. You are so right! We are all a package, not a collection of individual parts!! And she is a great package in my mind. Caring, funny, attractive (even with her belly rolls lol), hard working and down to earth. A catch!!

I mean I'm a size 8 and still have rolls when I sit down, it's v normal.
DP thinks they're cute

My mum started dating again in her 50s. She's been a size 10 and a size 16 (she had an ankle issue and couldn't walk for a bit) and has had some lovey boyfriends at every size. She's now engaged, they don't much mind

Hhhmmm if I wanted opinions from men I wouldn't post on a site called netmums as it probably would be the place to find the least amount of men. Dopey

GoodGriefSunshine · 08/11/2019 06:03

Sahej err. I didn't post on a site called netmums.....dopey.

In any case, there are plenty of men on here. Sorry if you didn't realise that.

I'm a size 8. And I have a belly rolls. Last year I was in the gym and running regularly and I dropped to a 4-6. For what it's worth, I know that I was really tiny, but I still wasn't happy. However, my husband prefers me now, with my 'belly rolls' because he hated feeling my hip bones. Also, my boobs lost all their shape.

I've spoken to him about how he perceives my body. Apparently I'm 'fucking fit' and should stop being so critical of myself. I see the belly rolls. He doesn't.

He's bigger than when we got together 20 years ago, and he's a little bit conscious of it, but I fancy him just as much as I did back then. He's gorgeous.

highheelsandweathercocks · 08/11/2019 06:15

That should have said 'I see the belly rolls, he doesn't care about them'.

YouJustDoYou · 08/11/2019 06:18

@Sahej this isn't netmums, dopey 😂
