I've never been to Boston but I'd bet every buck I had on that . Been to NY for Christmas and was seriously underwhelmed.Only the Italian quarter felt anywhere near Christmassy . I have a feeling I'll be shouted down here . There were Christmas "sights" in NY like the skating and tree etc ..but in the rest of streets it was barely evident. Try Boston and report back !!

Boston is beautiful at Christmas. All lit up. Faneuil hall area is magical. There's all kinds of "holiday" shows available. I live just outside Boston and love going in at Christmas time. Lots to do I'd you want. They usually do the ice sculptures after Christmas but before New year's Eve and they are awesome. Boston first night is good too. Very safe. Do Boston
