Allergic to scented sanitary products? Add your story here!

Loads of posts about scented sanitary products causing some of us to have issues such as:

• Itchy rashes
• Thrush
• Bacterial vaginosis

After a few attempts I have finally been able to get the attention from Always to respond to my issues.

I know lots of us have them and don't want to be fobbed off that it's 'just me'.

Please can you add your story below if you have issues with scented products.

As another poster has said - I'm pretty sure men wouldn't be expected to spritz Febreeze on their cocks all day for 7 days and have no issues.

I'm not, but the stench of unpacking a delivery makes me feel sick. Partly because it's so strong - and partly because it's very similar to the deodoriser used in mortuaries.

I haven't got a story to add except that I'm exceptionally irritated by having to search high and low for unscented products, when unscented should BLOODY OBVIOUSLY BE THE DEFAULT!!! I mean, come on.

Good for you for taking this on. I absolutely hate the scented ones - they make feel really itchy and I loathe the smell. Previously I'd been a very loyal Always user but this has really incensed me. Such a flipping GROSS smell too.

I've used always pads for decades but can't since they've added the scent. I have very heavy periods so need tampons and towel combination. I don't like the scented smell but more important it irritates me to the extent it burns/gives me sores..

I loathe scented pads!! I can even smell the Always pads on work colleagues who use them. I am allergic to very little, but I react to any perfumed ones (Unscented are fine). I feel that companies making them haven't conducted their trials appropriately...they have affected so many women, albeit mildly in many cases. Periods don't smell, please don't tell us we should mask blood with a shoddy perfume. When I got caught out and had to go to my corner shop to buy some pads, the only unperfumed ones were by 'happy shopper', they were half the price of always and bodyform and just as comfortable!
