Another 2500 job losses.

Sad news.
The high street is amassing job losses not unlike the mining and steel industries did.
We need to start trying to counter the unemployment now.

I have had a look on their website a few times and there's always a lot of products that are out of stock after you click on them. Also, their little bird range is ghastly- trackies with stripes, dresses and cardis with thin material, leopard print for toddlers?? WTF

If rather spend a bit more and buy quality organic clothes that can be passed on once outgrown

Also nearly £409 for some of the ( usually out of stock) cribs online..... no thanks.

Everything is so expensive.

We loved a lot of things - out littlest room is still decorated in 2004 Humphrey’s Corner. And that was where I went for everything for dd1 who is now 15.

I remember after she was born trying to be brand loyal and go back for formula and nappies to Mothercare, but everything was more expensive. Our Mothercare World was 100 meters from a Sainsbury’s where everything was cheaper.

The clothes were beautiful but too expensive.

The toys were beautiful but too expensive.

The nappies and bottles were standard stock but too expensive.

I ordered an isofix stage 2 car seat to be transferred from another store. DD2 is now 13 and a tad big for it now.

I’m sad about this. My kids are too old for Mothercare now but I found it so helpful when they were younger. Great selection and advice. The Clarks store in my local Mothercare is excellent and I will be sad not to be able to go there again. Awful for all the staff.

They have now stopped accepting returns other than faulty/ damaged products. Things are now 'delayed' being delivered to stores with click and collect. It's the beginning of the end folks......

TwittleBee · 07/11/2019 17:56

so much is out of stock too online now

Some bargain bugaboos to be had though Grin wonder which staff member did this before they left 😂 and how many were dumb enough to order thinking the price will be honoured Hmm

I find it disgusting that they are selling empty red cardboard boxes for parents to fill with small gifts original price just over £16, reduced to about £14.
