@Gingernaut if the OP hadn't mentioned that it was Dutch I wouldn't have known either! I just started reading through the thread and it got me thinking.

People are fucking thick, you see china plates and old glass fridge shelves stacked up next to the glass recycling bins, so I guess there's a reason why they chose to add the symbol to the bottle.
