Anyone turning forty next year?

I am. I’ve had a bitch of a year, well last two really. Looking forward to embracing forties with a positive approach. Any thoughts on how to do this? I know just another birthday but seems a significant marker.

Also turning 40 next year. Nothing major planned celebration wise. Thinking dinner and drinks with friends. Going over to London for a long weekend in February (ire v eng six nations weekend) Hoping this is the year I manage to get tickets.

Also 40 next year. Have never really ‘done’ birthdays before but feel I should do something - not sure what though, so watching with interest.

Sorry missed the positive approach but. I think I was far more wobbly heading for 39 than I am 40.

Life hasn't turned out like I thought it would be I'm healthy and pretty happy. I have a friend a little younger than me with terminal cancer and I just think how much they wish they could see 40 and it makes me grateful and appreciative that I will.

I think having little things to look forward to keeps you going. Other than the London trip I'm hoping to take 8 weeks unpaid leave from work and go to Barcelona. Currently learning Spanish and it would be good to try and put it into practice.

I went for a few days in Barcelona with then DH and DC. Over the year I raised £1000 for Winston's Wish in memory of my dad who died when I was little and would also have had a milestone birthday that year.
