Halloween Cheek

I took in a parcel for a neighbour yesterday as she was at work. I called round to drop it off for her at 6.30 . Neighbour had the door open and stood on the step was a woman holding a baby, neither in fancy dress, the woman had gone trick or treating with the babyHalloween Confused but when my neighbour offered her a small bag of sweets the woman complained that they weren’t suitable for five months old baby and couldn’t she give him chocolate instead Halloween Shock fully appreciate that a bag of haribo can’t be given to a small baby but seriously, who the hell takes a small baby(minus fancy dress) and no other children, trick or treating? Halloween Shock

A CF in my books,

They should have replied that trick or treating wasn't really suited to a five month old baby either.

I had some little ones with their mum and their siblings dressed up . So sweet seeing a little one as a pumpkin, complete with "lid".

Was all over by 7.30 which was great . I was down to two sweets left.

That’s the point when not dressed up, no siblings and unhappy with the sweets offered

A 5 month old baby shouldn't be having chocolate either!

Bet the woman was after stuff for herself Grin

SunshineDays2019 · 01/11/2019 15:27

I'm surprised the CF didn't demand a bottle of wine or something else for herself. Some people!

Ha! I thought this was going to be some sort of disease... ‘DC have all woken up with Halloween cheek, there’ll be no school today!’

Rubychard · 01/11/2019 17:35

I think I’d have laughed at her. And told her the child shouldn’t be weaned before six months.

iklboo · 01/11/2019 17:37

Me too @Pogmella Grin

I'm no expert on babies, but chocolate sounds an odd thing to give a very small baby.

Pippapotomus · 01/11/2019 17:59

When he was 1 Sil pushed my nephew in his buggy trick or treating, neither of them were in costume.

She didn't see anything odd with it despite of us asking wtf.
