Just got a cleaner for the first time, 2 hours a week. It's really helpful so i was wondering about Christmas thank you - 20 quid in a card? Box of biscuits? It's a small local firm.

Cleaner here!!
Past gifts truly appreciated include :
Scarf from Posh Shop
Posh Smellies
Nice purse
Photo frame
Nice lounge socks.
Honestly not so well received as dc eat them are chocolates and biscuits.
Nice to have a personal gift ime!!
Obviously being thought of enough to get a gift is generous in itself - but you did ask!!

When I had my cleaner (boy do I miss her!) I used to give her an extra week’s wages in a card. It was only about £25, I think I’d have felt uncomfortable if it had been much more than that, and she probably would have too

It’s good to worry about this now Hmm

I used to leave our cleaner a bottle of fizz and some fancy chocs.

Really nice hand cream seems to go down well. I always worry about their skin with all the chemicals in cleaning products that they handle.

We normally give what we pay for a weekly clean plus some chocolates.

A previous cleaner always got her favourite hand cream

Double wages,posh Chocs and fizz

WellTidy · 01/11/2019 18:34

A week’s wages and something small like chocolates or hand cream or a candle is what I’ve always done.

It's a mum and daughter team so think will go for a handcream each and equivalent weeks money in a card.

They cleaned my oven today. It looks great and has made me genuinely delighted.

Normally €50 as she goes on holiday over new year, a Tesco voucher for a weeks food shopping and a box of Godiva chocolates which are her favourites. She’s worth her weight in gold, can’t put a price on a good cleaner!
