What's your second favourite ring food?

Ring doughnuts would obviously be top of everybody's list, so what's second?

Mine would be the Onion Ring. With BBQ sauce to dip them in.

Highly Commended: The Party Ring.

I love those sesame/poppy seed covered ring bread things in Kraków

Kraggle · 31/10/2019 18:39

Krispy Kreme original glazed donut rings
Beef hula hoops
Salt & vinegar hula hoops
Haribo rings
Onion rings (crisp variety)

BertrandRussell · 31/10/2019 18:41

Monkey bread. Google it- then make it. It is the best thing ever and much, much easier than it looks. You can thank me later.

taybert · 31/10/2019 18:41

Party rings are a fucking disgrace. We had them recently, they obviously use insipid natural colours now so they don’t even look bright and fun. And loads of them looked like they’d been iced by a drunk toddler. Really poor. And obvs they taste like cardboard anyway.

Number one is a donut but only those fresh deep fried ones you get at the seaside. No other donuts come close.

Second favourite. Spaghetti hoops.

annienone · 31/10/2019 18:52

@taybert Oooh good call on the spaghetti hoops actually. They would be near the top for me too!

queenofmycastlex · 31/10/2019 19:03

Lidl do these amazing biscuits in a ring shape like buttery shortbread. They're incredible

00Sassy · 31/10/2019 19:27

Ringo’s also come in sweet chilli flavour! Wink

Nunyabusiness · 31/10/2019 19:50

Fucks sake you lot, I'm sat here mooching Mumsnet whilst eating my dinner and I've actually just got up and chucked some onion rings in the oven because of this thread!

Wizzbangpop · 31/10/2019 19:52

I had a hoola hoop earlier forgotten how good they were
Haribo rings
Does an Iceland prawn ring count?

Wizzbangpop · 31/10/2019 19:52

Jamhandprints · 31/10/2019 20:02

Hot donuts
Polos
Onion rings

InsertFunnyUsername · 31/10/2019 20:08

Fairground donuts Yum.

Onion rings the crisps Blush

If I lay my chinese out in a circle does that count 🤔

InsertFunnyUsername · 31/10/2019 20:08

Wait I like the chocolate cereal weetos too. What a predicament.

annienone · 31/10/2019 20:10

@InsertFunnyUsername I'm with you on the weetos!

This seems like such an easy question and then I see everyone else's answers and I'm like ooh wait that's on my list too 🤣

reefedsail · 31/10/2019 20:17
  1. Onion rings (in beer batter)
  2. Beef monster munch
  3. Hula hoop
  4. Bagel
  5. Doughnut
reefedsail · 31/10/2019 20:18
  1. Haribo ring
vampirethriller · 31/10/2019 20:27

Onion rings
Pineapple rings as fritters

I love doughnuts but the ring ones are too plain. Doughnuts should be raspberry jam ones.

Gazelda · 31/10/2019 20:27

polos jamhandprints?!

vampirethriller · 31/10/2019 20:29

Bapa · 31/10/2019 20:34

Pretzels when just made

ActualHornist · 31/10/2019 20:38

@RiddleyW I thought my dad was the only person in the entire world who knew what a Paris-Brest was! Grin

I had some nice battered chili rings the other day. I would only have ring doughnuts if they’re Krispy Kreme. But calamari and bagels would be up there for me.
